WELFARE FUND
A Welfare Fund has been introduced for the needy and poor family members. This fund will try to help and support the needy students and sick family members.
The Parishad hereby request all family members to come forward and donate generously towards the Welfare Fund so that we all may lend our hand to help our family members who need immediate support.

Annual Outing
The Annual Outing organized by the Parishad was held on January 28 th, 2007 at Kheput. Family members of Barisha, Uttarpara, Halisahar, Birati-Nimta and Kheput was present at the event. The day also marked the beginning of the Two year long ceremony to commemorate the 400 years of receiving the Jaigirdari (Zamindari) by Laksmikanta in 1608.
World Museum Day CelebrationT
The Sabarna Sangrahashala celebrated the World Museum Day from 8th to 11th Feb, 2007 by arranging a special exhibition of some rarest historical articles which included a folding wooden table dated 1670s used by Charles firingee and a Gupti (1906) among others. First Day Cover stamps from 1957-67 were also on display. These are the collections by Dipak Km Roy Choudhury. The exhibition was appreciated by all.
Dolyatra
The Dolyatra was celebrated with religioius fervour both at Barisha and Halisahar. As usual the utsav was held at Halisahar on the seventh day after normal utsav on 11 th 0f March.
VIDYADHARESHWAR SHIVA TEMPLE
The foundation laying stone of Vidyadhareshwar Shiva Temple was unveiled by Swami purnatmananda at Halisahar on 15 th of August, 2007. Many distinguished guests were present at the function. The said temple shall be built in memory of Vidyadhar Roy Choudhry who was a great zamindar of the family. The temple will be build in next one year. The project has been undertaken by Sri Monoranjan Roy Choudhury on behalf of the Parishad. All family members are requested to donate generously for the grand project.
WE ARE MOURNING AT THE SAD DEMISE OF OUR BELOVED GEN SECY SRI KANUPRIYA ROY CHOUDHURY. MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE. WE HAVE LOST A GREAT INSPIRATION.
BIJOYA SAMMELAN
The Bijoya Sammelan of the Parishad was held on Nov 4th, 2007 at Chandi Bari. Music, dance and recitation were part of the programme.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The AGM of the Parishad will be held on 25 th Nov, 2007 AT Barisha. All members are hereby requested to attend te meeting.
